In a study done by AWeber Communications*, it was found that clear email subject lines are most effective.
They say this makes sense since customers deal with hundreds of emails every day and decide with a very quick scan what they are going to open. Clear subject lines will give you a greater chance that your emails will be seen and opened by customers.

Now if you have been a reader or follow of my blog you no I can’t agree with this strategy completely, even though I love the idea. While the statistics may be true, I firmly believe in the power of permission marketing, which is when individuals receive a personal, relevant, and anticipated email, they are more likely to respond.
